What to include in your message

Most problems are specific to a device or an app version. Sending these five things with your first email usually saves a round trip:

  • App version — open the app and look at the bottom of the Settings screen.
  • Device model — for example iPhone 14 Pro Max.
  • iOS version — Settings → General → About → Software Version.
  • What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
  • The steps that lead to it, plus a screenshot or screen recording if you can capture one.

Writing about a purchase? Include the date of the charge and the email address on your Apple Account. Please never send us a password, a full card number, or an App Store receipt with your card details visible — we do not need any of them.

Where to send what

Everything goes to the same address. Putting the right words in the subject line just gets it in front of the right eyes sooner.

A bug, a crash, or a mod that will not install
Subject «Bug». Send the five details listed above.
Subscription, billing or a refund
Subject «Subscription». Purchases are handled by Apple, so cancellations happen in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions and refunds are requested at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you paid but the app still shows the free tier, tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen first — that fixes it in most cases. Write to us if it does not, and see the Subscription section of our Terms for the full detail.
Privacy, or deleting your data
Subject «Privacy». We answer these within 30 days. Our Privacy Policy explains what is held and by whom.
Copyright or takedown
Subject «Copyright». Name the mod and include proof of ownership, as described in our Terms.
A feature request
Subject «Idea». We read every one of them, and a fair number of them ship.
